Seems like the topic of Security Suite is around every corner.
The big debate "Do I need a Security Suite"
Anti virus software is required at minimum if you connect to the internet. If you connect via a broadband connection, you also need to use a firewall (hardware firewall, software firewall or both). If you do any business, shopping or banking online, or just browsing – you really should have anti spyware software. If you download anything at all (software, screensavers, clip art, pictures, etc…) you really need some form of adware protection.
Although you don’t need to buy an internet security suite to get all this protection, it is the cheapest, quickest, and easiest way to go. You can of course, pick and choose your internet security software from different manufacturers, but buying a suite is much easier.
A computer security suite (also referred to as an Internet Security Suite) is a bundled software package from the same manufacturer that includes several different types of internet security protection. The security software applications are all compatible with each other and work together to provide a thorough blanket of protection against viruses, spyware, adware and intruders. PC security suites normally include anti virus software, anti spyware, and personal firewall protection. Some also include parental control, various form of privacy protection, which protects personal data such as account numbers and passwords.
Can I Count on an Internet Security Suite to Protect My Computer?
As per all internet security software, the key to successful computer protection with a computer security software suite is regularly updating the software. New viruses, spyware, adware and hacks are introduced every day, and your degree of protection is only as good as the last update. Just about all top quality security software includes an "auto update" feature that lets you choose to have the software automatically check for and install updates daily.
Computer security is essential to prevent PC performance loss and identity theft. Spyware clogs system resources, taking up disk space and slowing down the PC. Some may also be capable of stealing personal information. Fake sites to gather information are also plentiful and many emails try to fool the reader into visiting one of these sites to enter credit card numbers or logins to other legitimate sites. An Internet Security suite is the perfect companion for the home and small office computer, providing a range of benefits in a single, affordable package.
Below are options on some Security Suite:
